Privacy
The short version: your statements are read in your browser and are never sent to us or stored by us. This page says exactly what that means and names the few things that do leave the browser.
v1 - founder review pendingYour documents never leave your browser
When you drop a PDF, it is read inside your browser tab. We do not transmit it, receive it, or store it - there is no server copy, because the file never travels to a server. The verify page shows you how to confirm this in your browser Network tab.
Extracted transactions, edits you make, and export files all stay in the tab too. Close the tab and they are gone.
Usage telemetry is counts-only
To learn which banks and formats to support next, the app sends a small usage message once, after an export completes or when you close the tab. It carries event counts and a single page-count bucket. It carries no document text, no file names, no account numbers, no cookies, and no identifiers.
This is the whole message:
{
v: 1,
events: {
page: 1, dropped: 2, parsed: 2,
rowVerified: 1, failed: 1, exported: 1,
paywall: 0, checkoutClick: 0
},
pagesBucket: '1-5' | '6-20' | '21-100' | '100+'
}You can block it and the converter keeps working exactly the same. It is never sent during a conversion, only after one.
What we store in your browser
The app keeps a few small values in your browser’s localStorage. They stay on your device. Clearing your browser data removes them.
| Key | What it holds | Why |
|---|---|---|
meter.v1 | The current month and how many pages you have exported | To apply the free-tier page limit without an account |
license.v1 | Your Pro license key and when it was last checked | To unlock Pro and keep working offline after activation |
tieout-theme | Your light or dark choice | To remember the theme between visits |
Billing data
If you upgrade, payment is handled by Polar as the merchant of record. Card details and billing records are held by Polar, not by us, under their data-processing terms. When you validate a license key, the only thing sent to Polar is the key you typed.
GDPR and data transfer
Because your statements are processed in your browser and never reach us, we do not process personal data from your documents on any server. There is no cross-border transfer of your statement data, because it does not move. Billing personal data is processed by Polar under its own agreement, which its site links from checkout.
